Salas O’Brien, Inc. in Green Bay, WI seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer to design and assemble electrical control systems and panels (<480V) for packaging machinery. You will work with Control Engineers and ensure NEC/UL compliance while coordinating with customers and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in an OEM environment (pulp/paper or food/dairy), experience with Allen-Bradley hardware, AutoCAD Electrical, and travel under 25%. This role offers a competitive base salary and a comprehensive U.S.-based benefits package.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with an OEM in the Pulp and Paper or Food and Dairy Industries.
• Experience applying the National Electrical Code (NEC) in an industrial environment.
• Familiarity specifying and configuring Allen‑Bradley hardware (Motor Control Centers, Variable Frequency Drives, IO Cards, Power Supplies, Ethernet Switches, etc).
• Familiarity with instruments used in packaging or processing systems (photo-eyes, proximity switches, etc).
• Experience designing integrated control systems with a central PLC networked to Remote IO Panels.
• Experience with pneumatic systems and properly sized components.
• Two‑Year Degree in electrical technology or pertinent experience with a controls integrator or OEM.
• Familiarity with UL requirements for Industrial Control Panels.

Responsibilities

• Design and assemble electrical control systems and panels (<480V) for packaging machinery.
• Lead and coordinate suppliers and subcontractors to deliver equipment on schedule.
• Debug, commission, and support controls installations at customer sites.
