Job summary

MetroPower seeks a Project Coordinator to serve as a central point between Project Managers, Field Technicians, and Superintendents, ensuring electrical construction work aligns with company standards. You will coordinate permits, inspect sites, track materials and timelines, and support estimating and close-out activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction-related fields and experience in contracting or construction management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Sciences, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Science, etc.), or related.
• Prior contracting, engineering, construction management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: obtain printing plans, specifications, and addendums for estimating and active jobs; coordinate permits, inspections, digger's hotline tickets; track activity and timelines; assist with material purchases and submittals; support close out documents and presentations.
• Administration & Support: type letters, maintain documentation, and routine reporting schedules.
• Customer & Vendor Relations: communicate bid invitations and updates; request vendor quotes; maintain customer notes; deliver high-quality service; manage conflicts and professional communication.
• Billing & Financial Support: prepare and process billing, change orders, and final invoices; process certificates, contracts, and claims; track expenses and cost savings.
• Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination: pre-plan hazard elimination; promote safety; support zero accidents; encourage communication on safety concerns.
• Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Sciences, Engineering or related; prior contracting/engineering/construction management experience preferred.
