Job summary

The Superior Group is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning planning, startup, and energization of complex electrical systems on Central Ohio projects. You will develop and approve methods of procedure (MOPs), oversee lockout/tagout (LOTO) planning, and support safe system energization while coordinating with Project Operations and stakeholders.

Based on the jobsite, you will mentor Commissioning Engineers and drive continuous improvement of workflows and standards, with

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in quality control, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
Strong understanding of medium/low voltage power distribution and components.
Experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and related codes.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead development and approval of complex methods of procedures (MOPs) documents.
Oversee LOTO planning and energized work strategies.
Lead pre-energization readiness reviews and support complex startup activities.
Review and validate one-line diagrams, switching sequences, and system interdependencies.
Identify and mitigate startup, energization, and system integration risks.
Drive resolution of complex commissioning and technical issues.
Lead technical coordination with owners, construction managers, manufacturers, distributors, and testing partners.
Coordinate closely with Field Operations, Project Operations, and Engineering teams.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to Commissioning Engineers.
Support continuous improvement of QACx workflows and standards.
