Job summary

GAS GLOBAL SERVICES in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist – Electrical/Automation to support major capital projects by managing end-to-end procurement for equipment, materials, and services.

You will lead sourcing events, conduct bid evaluations, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets while working with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience leading sourcing events, bid evaluations, negotiations and contract awards.
• Experience supporting large-scale capital projects in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute cradle-to-grave procurement activities including sourcing, bid solicitation, evaluation, supplier selection and contract administration.
• Manage procurement of major equipment, materials, and services to support project execution and schedules.
• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, terms, delivery, scope changes, and claims resolution.
• Develop strategic supplier relationships and monitor performance related to quality, schedule, and cost.
