Job summary

GAS Energy Staffing LLC is seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist for Major Process Equipment Procurement in Richmond, VA. You will manage cradle-to-grave procurement for major equipment, materials, and services, leading sourcing, bid management, supplier negotiations, and contract administration to meet safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience managing sourcing events, bid evaluations, supplier negotiations, contract awards, and commercial administration.
• Experience supporting EPC/ EPCM, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, refining, LNG, petrochemical, chemical, or similar industrial capital projects.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional project stakeholders in schedule-driven environments.

• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance related to quality, schedule, delivery, and commercial requirements.
• Support procurement planning, risk mitigation, cost reduction initiatives, reporting, governance compliance, and procurement closeout activities.

The role involves sourcing, bid management, supplier negotiations, contract administration, supplier performance management, and procurement governance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project safety, quality, schedule, cost, and operational objectives.

Job Description

• Execute cradle-to-grave procurement activities including sourcing, bid solicitation, commercial evaluation, supplier selection, contract award, administration, and change management

Skills Required

• Minimum 6 years of procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience
• Demonstrated experience managing sourcing events, bid evaluations, supplier negotiations, contract awards, and commercial administration activities
• Experience supporting EPC, EPCM, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, refining, LNG, petrochemical, chemical, or similar industrial capital projects
• Experience working within schedule-driven project environments and coordinating cross-functional project stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting global procurement organizations and international project execution
• Experience supporting lump-sum project procurement environments
• Experience with major equipment commodities including static equipment, rotating equipment, instrumentation, electrical equipment, and piping commodities
• Experience utilizing e-Procurement, e-Bidding, and strategic sourcing platforms
• Professional procurement certifications such as CPSM, CPSD, or equivalent preferred

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline preferred
