Job summary

The Clorox Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for the Amherst, VA site. You will serve as the technical authority for electrical power systems, automation platforms, and OT networks, driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across the plant.

You’ll lead design, maintenance, and optimization, partner with maintenance and IT, and ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA 70E, OSHA, and safety standards while delivering capital projects and driving asset health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years manufacturing/industrial experience.
• Hands-on with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems; strong troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize plant electrical distribution systems (low/medium voltage).
• Develop/maintain single-line diagrams, arc-flash studies, load calculations, protective device coordination.
• Oversee electrical contractors and capital projects from planning through commissioning.
• Serve as SME for PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, instrumentation, and control systems; lead upgrades.
