Job summary

Avista Corporation is seeking an experienced field inspector to oversee quality contract construction work in Spokane, ensuring adherence to company specifications and safety standards.

You will direct and audit contractor activities, review unit work, coordinate site visits, and support project managers with scheduling, material accounting, and documentation. A strong knowledge of construction prints, codes, and customer coordination is essential.

Qualifications

• Three plus (3+) years of inspection experience in construction required.
• Knowledge of electric line construction maps and drawings.
• Ability to administer contracts, estimate, and manage projects.
• Working knowledge of state, national and federal codes and regulations.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for field inspections of contract construction work including Avista contractors and other municipalities.
• Directs performance of contract work and coordinates schedules to meet company standards.
• Review performed unit work and unit sheets for accuracy; complete weekly audits.
• Assist contractors with planning and coordinating their work; provide technical support.
• Prepare company reports and maintain adequate records of work performed.
• Coordinate line shutdowns and outages with contractors and operations.
• Review invoices for labor and materials for accuracy.
