Job summary

AZAD Technology Partners is seeking a Construction Inspector to perform quality assurance inspections on projects including high voltage transmission, substations, fiber optic, and telecom work. The role involves extensive travel (up to 95%) and is based on-site in Vancouver, WA with five days per week in the field.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, plus relevant engineering or building inspection education and experience.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Building Inspection technology is preferred.
Relevant coursework such as drafting, mathematics and construction technology is highly preferred.
With a degree, 5 yrs of previous work-related skill, knowledge or experience in construction is required.
Experience should be directly related to Building Construction, Building Inspection, and Site civil construction inspection.
Knowledge of requirements associated with OSHA 1910.269.
Technical experience that has provided a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying professional applications of engineering techniques.

Responsibilities

Pioneering roads, excavation, grading, and drainage as part of project tasks.
Use baselines and topographic drawings for locating work sites.
Report and inspect transmission, substation, telecommunication, and non-electric facilities as per plan.
Read and interpret contracts, construction drawings, and specifications.
Identify and assess safety, electrical, grounding, and DOT load considerations in the field.
