Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Senior Electric System Inspector to join the Integrated Inspections group and inspect Transmission and Distribution assets using drone technology. You will identify safety, reliability and environmental hazards, perform patrols on overhead circuits, and prioritize repairs in a safety‑conscious, on‑site role.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in electric utility inspections, FAA Part 107 certification, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

18 months of electrical inspections or completion of the equivalent of Journeyman Lineman 4th step apprenticeship.
Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred: 3+ years of electric utility construction/maintenance inspections experience.
Certification in FAA Small UAS Rule (Part 107).
Experience with GO95 and GO128 electrical construction/maintenance standards.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Identify GO95/GO128 infractions, safety deficiencies, environmental and reliability hazards and wood pole integrity.
Perform public level repairs on poles and related structures.
Conduct annual patrols on overhead circuits and prioritize repairs.
Reconcile differences between actual field conditions.
Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions, safety deficiencies, and unsafe work practices.
Protect company assets and manage sensitive information with integrity.
