Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company is seeking an Electric Program Manager to oversee a company program within the Electric Transmission & Distribution team. The role requires managing end-to-end program oversight, budget governance, and governance, with hybrid work options from a remote office and designated California locations.

The position supports Substation Operations & System Inspections, ensuring governance, training, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7 years’ total related experience.
• Experience managing capital expense budgets.
• PMP Certification (desired).
• In-depth knowledge of electric utility processes.
• Knowledge of Substation or Asset Inspection processes.
• Team leadership and collaboration skills.
• General financial management & budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Applies expert knowledge of Program Management to wide-ranging issues and assignments.
• May design and develop new programs under a larger umbrella of goals and initiatives.
• Manages all aspects of programs that are cross departmental, complex and have a significant impact on the line of business.
• Leads development of plans to achieve program goals.
• Leads partner organizations to develop and implement improved processes, controls and procedures to improve efficiencies and customer satisfaction and reduce cost.
• Represents the program as a subject matter expert and stakeholder on process improvement teams and regulatory filings.
• Develops and delivers presentations to leaders regarding program progress toward goals.
• Plans and forecasts work and ensures closure/completion of projects and maintenance.
