Job summary

aqua IT is seeking a senior Elastic stack engineer in Chantilly, VA to design, deploy, and manage a log analytics and infrastructure monitoring solution for an ICAM environment.

You will deploy and upgrade Elastic clusters, configure Kibana with RBAC, collaborate with developers, and gather periodic metrics for customers. The role operates in a DevSecOps/Agile setting with strict security requirements.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of relevant experience or 6–10 years with a master’s degree.
• Experience as a software developer, integrator, administrator, or similar technical role.
• 5+ years designing, developing, and deploying Elastic stack solutions including Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats.
• Active Top Secret clearance; ability to obtain/maintain CI polygraph; DoD-8570/8140 level 2 compliance.
• Experience with Elastic stack security features, such as client authentication, SSL/TLS, and RBAC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy a log analytics and infrastructure monitoring solution using the Elastic stack.
• Deploy, configure, test, troubleshoot, and upgrade Elastic clusters and environments.
• Plan resources to optimize Elasticsearch infrastructure for health and performance.
• Configure Kibana for end-user access with RBAC/multi-tenancy.
• Interface with developers to integrate Elastic stack with ICAM baseline.
• Gather monthly and quarterly metrics for customer review.
• Resolve installation, infrastructure, data flow, and log ingestion issues.
• Perform daily administration of Elasticsearch clusters.
• Work in an Agile DevSecOps environment with CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in design reviews; develop mockups and wireframes; conduct peer/code reviews.
