Job summary

USA Rare Earth, Inc. is seeking an Environment Health, Safety, and Sustainability Engineer to lead EHS programs across the organization, balancing safety with responsible environmental stewardship.

The role focuses on regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement in operations from mining to processing. The candidate will supervise incident investigations, lead ISO 14001/45001 initiatives, and build strong relationships with regulators, communities, and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of senior EHS leadership in mining and chemical manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of mining environmental regulation, permitting, sustainability, and risk management.
• Experience with ISO 14001/45001 systems and building/auditing ISO 14001/45001 systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute EHS policies, procedures, and training aligned with corporate strategy and budget.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory bodies (TCEQ, EPA, OSHA, etc.).
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Lead enterprise risk framework development, reporting to leadership and the board.
• Oversee environmental programs including waste management, recycling, and chemical management.
• Engage stakeholders and represent the company in public and regulatory forums.
