Job summary

James Avery Artisan Jewelry seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to oversee programs across employees, facilities, manufacturing and retail stores. The role includes identifying health and safety issues, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5 years of EHS experience, with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• 5 years’ experience in environmental, health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to employees and management with continuous improvements in workplace safety practices, regulatory requirements, environmental compliance and organizational standards.
• Promote proactive reporting of hazards, near misses, and leading safety indicators to support a proactive safety culture.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify potential health and safety concerns, implement effective solutions and drive process improvements.
• Monitor and track safety performance, analyze trends, maintain EHS records, and prepare reports for all levels of the organization.
• Maintain EHS documentation, procedures, permits, and associated management systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct and support hazard and risk assessments, industrial hygiene activities, and environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Lead and conduct incident and accident investigations, including coordination, review, root cause analysis, and follow-through of corrective actions.
• Identify, interpret, and explain EHS regulations, programs, and safety equipment use.
• Develop and conduct training programs promoting employee involvement and strong safety culture.
