Job summary

GenScript USA Inc/ProBio Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a Sr. EHS Specialist to support EHS programs for our NJ research labs, including BSL-2 areas.

The role will implement and maintain lab safety, chemical hygiene, biosafety, waste management, and emergency response, working with senior EHS, Facilities, and lab leadership on complex issues. This is a hands-on, onsite position requiring regular lab presence to identify risks, drive corrective actions, and ensure adherence to EHS procedures, with

Qualifications

• 5+ years of EHS experience in biotech or pharma labs.
• Experience with chemical hygiene, hazard communication, waste management, and inspections.
• BSL-2 environments experience preferred; certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain EHS programs for NJ labs, including chemical hygiene and training.
• Support BSL-2 biosafety activities, audits, and corrective actions.
• Conduct regular inspections and verify safety equipment functionality.
• Maintain chemical inventories, SDS library, and labeling practices.
• Assist exposure monitoring and recommend risk controls for review.
