Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist II in Texas to drive safety ownership across operations. You will report to the Safety Manager and partner with the Plant Manager to build a world-class safety culture, with responsibilities spanning risk assessments, training, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, experience in a manufacturing environment, and travel to support regional initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Manufacturing, Environmental, or related technical discipline; substitution allowed for experience.
• Minimum 5 years EHS experience in manufacturing preferred.
• ASP, GSP, CSP, CHST or related HSE certification preferred.
• Strong problem solving, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, NIOSH, ANSI, NEC, TCEQ, etc.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001 is a plus.
• Ability to travel periodically; bilingual Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical safety and health support to the site Operations team.
• Coordinates and delivers EHS training to employees.
• Develops and executes the site safety improvement plan.
• Performs risk assessments and implements defenses to protect workers.
• Collaborates with operations, maintenance, and training to develop LOTO procedures and standard work.
• Manages workplace injuries and near misses including investigations and corrective actions.
• Participates in product/process reviews and hazard analyses.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state safety regulations; conducts audits and regulatory meetings.
• Performs other related duties as required.
