Solid Power is seeking a Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to advance EHS programs and support PSM implementation across its next-generation battery manufacturing operations. The role partners with operations, engineering, maintenance, and labs to strengthen safety performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in EHS practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of EHS experience with at least 2+ years in a high-hazard industrial manufacturing environment.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification and experience with chemical, industrial gas, or battery manufacturing operations.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analyses, safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk assessments.
• Experience managing chemical inventories, SDS administration, hazardous materials and waste programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards; proficient with MS Office and EHS platforms.

Responsabilités

• Support and enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA and other EHS regulations.
• Maintain chemical inventory systems, SDS databases, and labeling per GHS.
• Conduct safety audits, JSAs, facility walkthroughs, and specialized assessments (fire, arc flash).
• Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, lab, and engineering to integrate safe practices.
• Monitor leading/lagging indicators, incident trends, and audit findings for improvement.
• Support hazardous material inventory, waste stewardship, and KPI-driven cost containment.
• Coordinate and support EHS training and regulatory competency programs.
