Job summary

Vast is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Sr. Specialist in Long Beach, CA to act as a boots-on-the-ground safety leader. The role focuses on site-specific EHS programs, investigations, and complex program development to support aerospace manufacturing and testing.

You will report to the Environmental Health & Safety Manager and drive safety culture, oversee manufacturing safety, and manage hazards as production scales up.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years implementing and overseeing environmental, health and safety programs.
• Experience applying CAL OSHA, RCRA, EPA, SCAQMD, DOT, DTSC and CUPA requirements.
• Proven ability to lead EHS investigations and audits.

Responsibilities

• Represent EHS and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Maintain chemical inventories and CUPA compliance.
• Lead EHS program development and training across sites.
