Job summary

Amazon Robotics’ Environmental Health and Safety team seeks a Senior Safety Engineer to guide risk assessment and safety integration across innovation and manufacturing. You will partner with internal engineering groups and external 3Ps to ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and related standards while driving safety-by-design initiatives.

The role requires collaboration, incident investigation, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams across sites, with travel up to 15% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in EHS in manufacturing or operations.
• Knowledge of machinery and electrical safety standards.
• Experience with risk analyses (FMEA/FTA/HAZOP).

Responsibilities

• Define safety requirements for R&D labs and production systems.
• Drive safety roadmap balancing risk, cost, and safety goals.
• Lead safety analyses per ISO/NRTL and other standards.
• Investigate incidents and propose mitigations.
• Coordinate safety across internal teams and external partners.
