Job summary

EnSafe is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to work as a full-time consultant at a client site in Columbus, GA. The role is a 4-month contract with the opportunity for permanent hire and focuses on driving safety culture and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS Studies or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing safety.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train others.
• Experience with safety program development and implementation.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-specific EHS regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS Management systems.
• Proven expertise in hazard identification and control strategies.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support client EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and state regulations.
• Conduct assessments and provide guidance on LOTO, machine guarding, confined spaces, JHA.
• Administer safety-related programs and projects.
• Deliver EHS training and support to facility personnel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks.
