Job summary

Confidential Employer in Rockville, MD is seeking a senior EHS leader to drive safety strategy across complex construction projects. You will own field safety, risk reduction, training, incident prevention, and continuous improvement initiatives to protect workers and project performance.

This on-site role requires 4+ years in construction EHS, relevant certifications, and the ability to mentor teams, lead audits, develop policy, and partner with project leadership to elevate safety standards

Qualifications

• 4+ years of occupational EHS experience in construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Safety Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent.
• STS or Safety Trained Supervisor certification (or equivalent).
• CHST certification (or equivalent).
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA and federal/state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS audits, inspections, and risk identification across complex construction projects.
• Identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and document resolution.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses and pre-task plans; approve high-risk scopes.
• Integrate EHS requirements into preconstruction, logistics, and field execution.
