Job summary

WM is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead program management and staff oversight, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety requirements while supporting operations projects to protect people and the environment.

The role involves up to 50% travel to customer sites and WM facilities, developing procedures, conducting audits, and driving ISO 14001/9001 program improvements across the network.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Science, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, or similar field.
• 10+ years health & safety/compliance experience
• 5 years experience in manufacturing and industrial operations

Responsibilities

• Provides site/project staff guidance and support for EHS programs.
• Conducts safety and environmental assessments and ISO audits.
• Travel to customer sites to implement EHS programs.
• Develops written programs to ensure regulatory and customer compliance.
• Manages DOT Driver Qualification file compliance.
• Maintains EHS training such as OSHA, ISO, EPA training.
• Uses databases to track conformance and regulatory requirements.
