Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety in Columbus, NE to lead a team of EHS professionals and drive safety culture across the site.

The role focuses on strategic EHS initiatives, regulatory compliance, and programs to improve EHS performance, with a strong emphasis on incident investigations and root cause analysis. A Bachelor’s in EHS or related field is required, Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of EHS management experience in a large manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of LOTO, Machine Guarding, incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Experience with OSHA PSM and ISO 14001/45001/50001 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of EHS professionals, providing guidance, support and development opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategic EHS initiatives, policies, programs and metrics to improve EHS culture and performance.
• Coordinate day-to-day implementation of critical safety programs (LOTO, Machine Guarding, Powered Industrial Trucks, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection).
• Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, laws, standards, permits/licenses and company policies.
• Design and deliver training programs to enhance the EHS team's technical skills.
