Job summary

Bend Bioscience in Gainesville, GA is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety professional to lead safety and environmental programs on-site. You will drive industrial hygiene initiatives, maintain OSHA compliance, and build robust EHS procedures and training across the site.

The role requires extensive experience in regulated pharma or chemical environments, strong training skills, and the ability to coordinate across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, engineering, science, industrial hygiene or related field.
• 8+ years in occupational safety, industrial hygiene or environmental regulations within regulated pharma or specialty chemical manufacturing.
• 3+ years developing and delivering training to others.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrial hygiene and exposure control programs with exposure assessments, air and noise monitoring.
• Manage OSHA recordkeeping and reporting and site safety metrics communication.
• Conduct safety inspections, incident investigations and corrective action planning.
• Develop and maintain EHS procedures and training aligned with regulations.
• Chair the Site Safety Committee and promote employee engagement in EHS initiatives.
• Oversee ergonomics, lab safety, medical testing coordination, and safety equipment management.
• Administer emergency preparedness and response programs including action plans and ER teams.
• Manage environmental compliance activities including reporting and waste programs.
