Job summary

Acuity Brands Lighting, Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Senior Manager to support corporate and site EHS strategies across our distribution network.

The role focuses on identifying hazardous conditions and implementing programs to promote a safe, healthy work environment. The position coordinates compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate regulations for health, safety and welfare of Acuity employees, and leads development of programs, procedures, systems, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or related discipline.
• 10 years of safety experience in manufacturing.
• Willing to travel 50% or more.
• OSHA knowledge required.
• Certifications such as ASP/CIH/CSP preferred.
• Experience leading incident investigations and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Align EHS goals with site planning and execution.
• Governance and compliance management (Safety, health & environment).
• Emergency response support on shop floor leadership during events.
• Implement hazardous and nonhazardous waste tracking and environmental strategy deployment.
• Develop site-level activities to strengthen associate and community engagement.
• Develop, review, and ensure execution of EHS annual programs (trainings, safety, health).
• Document and address EHS topics using MOC for new processes, projects, or equipment.
• Attend corporate audits, internal cross audits, and government audits/visits.
• Near miss and incident management with analysis and recurrence reduction.
• Share data and improvements for Focus Factories with Factory Managers.
