Job summary

ITAC, a national design-build firm, seeks an experienced EHS Coordinator in the Chester, VA area to lead safety initiatives on construction projects. You will ensure OSHA compliance, oversee incident investigations, and deliver safety training to project teams.

The role requires mentoring staff, conducting audits, monitoring air quality, and continuously improving site safety practices within a collaborative ESOP-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years in safety coordination or related roles within construction.
• Strong understanding of OSHA standards and EHS regulations.
• Experience developing and delivering safety training programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for training and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for EHS initiatives on various projects.
• Oversee incident investigations, developing reports and corrective action plans.
• Conduct safety training sessions for project managers and field employees.
• Evaluate field operations and implement safety improvements.
• Conduct routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
• Perform air quality monitoring, sampling, and analysis as necessary.
• Maintain communication with EHS personnel and project teams.
