Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety management or environmental management, or related field; advanced degree preferred; 10+ years progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Energetic leader with proven ability to lead change initiatives; strong interpersonal and leadership skills across levels.
• Comprehensive understanding of EHS regulations and requirements.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience supervising, leading, and developing EHS professionals.
• Experience with process improvement tools and methods.
• Strong focus on behavioral safety and employee engagement.
• Startup experience is a plus.
• Experience implementing HSE systems including ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001).
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other EHS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and promote a zero-injury safety culture across site leadership, operations, safety committees, and EHS staff.
• Ensure compliance reporting for OSHA, EPA, and local environmental health and safety requirements.
• Maintain EHS records and documentation control.
• Provide daily guidance on EHS programs to managers, supervisors, and employees.
• Develop strategies to achieve EHS goals and KPIs.
• Identify losses, evaluate risk, and implement corrective action plans.
• Ensure contractor safety compliance and safe work practices.
• Conduct EHS audits and implement corrective actions.
• Assess environmental risks and develop mitigation plans to reduce incidents.
• Investigate incidents and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
