Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Leader to develop and administer comprehensive EHS programs across multiple manufacturing sites in the Northeast. The role focuses on zero-incident culture through leadership, safety observations, and regulatory compliance.

You will conduct audits, risk assessments, and training, manage incident reporting and root cause analysis, and coordinate with local responders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and administer Environmental, Health, and Safety programs
• Oversee security at the East Providence, RI and Norwich, CT facilities
• Lead safety initiatives, behavioral safety programs, and continuous improvement efforts
• Conduct Gemba walks, safety audits, and risk assessments
• Facilitate safety committees and safety observation programs at each facility
• Lead incident and near-miss reporting and perform root cause analysis
• Maintain contractor management and visitor safety programs
• Coach, mentor, and supervise employees on safe work practices, hazard identification, and risk management
• Lead emergency preparedness and response planning, including fire safety, spill response, and evacuation drills
• Coordinate EHS training programs and facilitate onboarding safety training
• Maintain training records and compliance documentation
• Travel approximately 50–75% between facilities and related locations
