Job summary

Advanced Energy, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, seeks a Senior Environment, Health and Safety Engineer to lead the site’s EHS program and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires coordinating risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits to drive continuous safety improvements.

The successful candidate will manage ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance, mentor EHS staff, and collaborate with Operations, Facilities, HR and Quality to embed safety into daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (environmental/industrial/chemical/mechanical or related)
• Minimum of 5 years in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) or related field
• Strong knowledge of Philippine EHS laws and regulations (OSH Standards, DOLE, DENR, PEZA)
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
• Environmental management, pollution control, waste management, and emergency preparedness knowledge
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, hazard identifications, inspections, and EHS audits
• Experience in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA
• Skilled in delivering EHS training and safety programs
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and report-writing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safety, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Promote proactive safety culture and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead development and improvement of EHS programs to ensure safe, healthy, and compliant workplace
• Drive proactive risk management via HIRAC, JHA, MOC and other methodologies
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation
• Serve as site EHS subject matter expert for management, supervisors, and employees
• Develop, implement, and monitor EHS objectives, targets, and KPIs
• Manage ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance including internal audits and reviews
• Act as Pollution Control Officer (PCO) and Safety Officer for regulatory compliance
• Lead regulatory activities: permits, inspections, audits, reporting with agencies
• Oversee environmental programs: waste, pollution prevention, emissions, sustainability
• Lead emergency preparedness and response programs and training
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs and awareness campaigns
• Partner with Operations, Facilities, HR, Quality to integrate EHS requirements
• Analyze EHS performance data to identify trends and drive improvements
• Support site expansions and process changes with EHS reviews
• Mentor EHS personnel and safety committees
