Form Energy is hiring a Staff EHS Engineer to support daily EHS operations at our Berkeley, California facility and nearby project sites. You will ensure the health and safety of our team and facilities, partnering with engineering on the safety of novel technologies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in EHS leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong safety culture and leadership.
• Expertise with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
• Experience with battery engineering and testing safety.
• Ability to gain organizational buy-in for safety initiatives.
• Effective cross-functional communication.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day EHS operations at a fast-paced engineering and test facility.
• Develop and manage EHS programs and training.
• Lead risk assessments and job hazard analyses.
• Lead pre-startup safety reviews for equipment.
• Review hazard analyses with engineering teams.
• Support chemical hygiene and safety programs.
• Lead safety committee and emergency response meetings.
• Investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Promote a strong safety culture.
