Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned EHS leader to develop and drive the safety vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap across our manufacturing and field environments in Minnesota. You will champion hazard recognition, incident prevention, and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor Safety Reps, build leadership through training, and partner across functions to embed design‑for‑safety principles. The role emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years in construction or manufacturing with a large company.
• 7+ years in EHS and 7+ years in management including training.
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills are essential.
• Experience with OSHA regulations and safety program development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the safety vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Establish annual safety goals, KPIs, and leading and lagging indicators.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including behavior-based safety programs.
• Lead enterprise risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies across manufacturing and field environments.
• Integrate design-for-safety principles into engineering, fabrication, and installation processes.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations across all locations and job sites.
• Develop, implement, and maintain corporate safety policies, standards, and procedures.
• Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
• Drive leadership accountability and ownership of safety performance at all levels.
• Foster a proactive safety culture focused on hazard recognition, prevention, and employee engagement.
• Review current org structure with Safety Reps and provide better or updated role clarity for that position.
