Job summary

Forgent Power seeks an EHS Director to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across its manufacturing operations. You will shape strategy, drive compliance with OSHA/EPA rules, and promote a proactive safety culture focused on prevention and continuous improvement.

You will oversee audits, incident investigations, training, and EHS systems while partnering with operations, HR, quality, and engineering leadership to advance operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field.
• 8–10+ years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable state/local regulations.
• Strong experience implementing and managing EHS programs in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence others, and drive organizational change.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with multi-site or multi-state operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s EHS strategy, goals, and performance metrics.
• Establish long-term plans for reducing incidents and improving environmental compliance.
• Serve as the senior EHS expert for leadership, regulators, and employees.
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations.
• Oversee audits, inspections, and corrective actions across facilities.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage EHS budgets, resources, and vendor contracts.
• Prepare EHS performance reports for executive leadership.
