Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is hiring a Senior Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to support our key technology client on-site in Redmond, Washington. This full-time role has a minimum duration of 4 months with potential extension.

The position focuses on risk assessments, safety program development, audits, and training to advance EHS performance in Tech R&D settings. A strong background in health and safety, plus regulatory compliance, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 7–15 years of experience in EHS support.
• CIH/CSP/ASP certification a plus but not required.
• Demonstrated understanding of regulatory compliance and reporting processes.
• Effective written and verbal communication and organizational/analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct risk assessments for new equipment and labs.
• Provide weekly activity reports to EHS Managers and Senior Specialists.
• Support and attend Safety Committee Meetings and Safety Walks monthly or as needed.
• Support Emergency Action Plan and Drill as scheduled.
• Perform compliance and system audits to assess project compliance with health, safety or environmental requirements and client standards.
• Assist with near-miss/incident investigations and with calibration/maintenance of direct reading instruments.
• Be the voice of workers’ safety needs for assigned labs and escalate issues with feedback.
• Provide training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments to improve safety performance.
