Job Overview

WSP, a global leader in environmental consulting, is seeking a Senior EHS Compliance Specialist/Environmental Scientist to join our California offices, including locations such as San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Irvine, Costa Mesa, and Los Angeles. This role offers opportunities to work on diverse projects within our Earth & Environment Team, contributing to sustainable development and environmental protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS compliance support and participate in field audits.
• Assist with compliance program development, including review of procedures, permits, and reports.
• Prepare technical reports, document audits, and interpret data.
• Manage client relationships and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
• Support regulatory research and environmental documentation synthesis.
• Adhere to ethical standards and company policies.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Studies, Earth Science, Health & Safety, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience conducting EHS audits and compliance assistance.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., RCRA, SARA, Clean Water Act, OSHA, Cal OSHA).
• Valid US driver's license and ability to travel up to 50%.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
