Job description

Atlas Health is bending the curve on healthcare affordability. With its enterprise end-to-end workflow automation platform (Atlas MAP), the largest integrated funding source network, AI agents and expert advocates, patients are proactively matched and enrolled in programs that fill coverage gaps. Providers that partner with Atlas Health enjoy higher levels of commercial insurance reimbursement and reduced uncompensated care, while patients have the confidence to access the care they need without financial fear.

We’re a fast-moving team in a pivotal growth phase, with major product and positioning momentum. But most of all, every role at Atlas has a direct impact on real people and real outcomes. If you’re excited to do meaningful work, we’re excited to meet you.

The Senior EHR Data Integration Lead is a hands-on technical role on Atlas Health's Engineering Data Team, responsible for leading data integration across customer implementations. The role serves as the primary data contact for hospital IT teams, directing how data is extracted from their electronic health record (EHR) systems, primarily Epic Clarity and Reporting Workbench, and delivered to Atlas.

The Lead ensures the data Atlas receives is complete and accurate so that patient assistance can be arranged before care is delivered.

The Engineering Data Team is growing quickly, and it works in a hands-on, high-ownership way. Engineers own what they build from design through delivery, measure success by impact rather than tickets closed, and keep process lean so decisions move quickly. The team shares a strong commitment to Atlas Health's mission of solving some of the biggest affordability challenges in healthcare.

What You'll Do
  • Own data integration on every customer implementation, from discovery through go-live, including technical working sessions, data mapping, validation, historical loads, and hand-off to ongoing support.
  • Serve as hospital IT's primary data contact and guide the setup of daily data files from the customer's EHR, particularly Epic Clarity and Reporting Workbench extracts.
  • Assess each customer's Epic build and recommend changes to their Clarity scripts so the required data is captured in the files.
  • Verify that data is complete and accurate, including the future appointments and treatment plans needed to arrange patient assistance before care.
  • Investigate data issues, such as missing prescriptions, incomplete encounters, or broken links between orders and appointments; identify root causes; and drive resolution.
  • Partner with Product to own changes to Atlas's data specifications and EHR integration scripts as new workflows are automated.
  • Build reusable scripts, automate data-quality checks, and improve specifications to reduce repeat work and shorten time to customer go-live.
What You Bring
  • Experience working at Epic, or as an Epic analyst or consultant implementing Epic at hospitals or health systems.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with Epic Clarity and Reporting Workbench.
  • Working familiarity with Epic clinical and pharmacy modules, including Ambulatory, Willow, Beacon, and Cadence.
  • Advanced SQL skills (SQL Server or Oracle), including navigating complex data relationships, validating extraction logic, and troubleshooting query performance.
  • Experience leading customer-facing EHR integrations.
  • Ability to give hospital IT and Epic teams clear technical direction.
  • Strong sense of ownership; investigates problems independently and stays with them until the data is right.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
  • Epic Clarity Data Model or Caboodle certification.
  • Experience with FHIR/HL7, APIs, and SFTP.
  • Scripting and automation experience.
  • Experience with other EHR and pharmacy systems, such as Cerner (Oracle Health), MEDITECH, or PioneerRx.
  • Understanding of how medication orders, prescriptions, treatment plans, appointments, encounters, coverage, and charges connect in hospital workflows.
