Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist for its Fort Saskatchewan site in Alberta, Canada. You will implement the EH&S management system, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with business objectives while maintaining operational integrity.

You will drive environmental protection, industrial hygiene, and workplace safety initiatives, guiding teams and enforcing standards to support continuous improvement and the Path2Zero program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of EH&S, OH&S, or related field experience.
• Canada-based work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Implements EH&S procedures and work processes aligned with safety standards.
• Maintains compliance by reinforcing environmental, industrial hygiene, and safety measures.
• Acts as SME for EH&S policies, guiding plant personnel.
• Serves as primary contact for EH&S concerns within the plant.
• Educates and coaches teams on environmental, health, and safety best practices.
• Assists in setting and meeting EH&S targets at unit level.
• Verifies completion of regulatory and compliance tasks.
• Conducts environmental and hygiene monitoring, data gathering and reporting.
