Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist for the Fort Saskatchewan site in Alberta, Canada. You will implement the EH&S management system, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive environmental protection and workplace safety within the plant.

You will support the Path2Zero initiative as part of Dow's decarbonization strategy, guiding teams and driving continuous improvement in EH&S processes across the site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of EH&S, OH&S, or related experience.
• For Canada, candidates must be authorized to work legally; Visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Implements EH&S procedures and work processes aligned with safety and environmental standards.
• Maintains compliance by enforcing environmental, industrial hygiene, and safety measures.
• Acts as SME for EH&S policies and guides plant personnel.
• Serves as primary contact for EH&S-related concerns within the plant.
• Educates and coaches teams on environmental, health, and safety best practices.
• Assists in setting and meeting EH&S targets at plant/department level.
• Verifies completion of regulatory and compliance tasks.
• Conducts environmental and industrial hygiene monitoring, data gathering and reporting.
