Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking a qualified EH&S Manager to lead safety and environmental programs across multiple commercial projects. You will ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental laws, develop training, and promote a culture of safety across teams.

Target candidates have 5+ years in construction safety leadership, certifications, and strong communication skills. This role requires travel to project sites and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in EH&S or related field required.
• OSHA 500, CHST, ASP/GSP or equivalent certifications required.
• CSP designation preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental laws.
• Ability to lead safety teams and training.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs to comply with OSHA standards and environmental regulations.
• Ensure all activities meet safety and environmental requirements.
• Monitor regulatory changes to stay compliant.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and impacts.
• Recommend improvements to reduce hazards and environmental footprint.
• Establish safety procedures and emergency response plans.
• Develop and conduct safety and environmental training for employees.
• Ensure employees are trained on emergency procedures and PPE.
• Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare and present reports to management and regulators.
• Coordinate with management and external agencies to maintain standards.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
