Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety auditor to join the Auditing team. The role focuses on providing customer‑focused EH&S audits and advisory services across electric, gas, steam, and other operations.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to senior management and participate in rotational assignments, with hands‑on EH&S experience preferred. Strict confidentiality and ethics are essential in all audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 3+ years of experience, including 2+ years in the utility sector.
• Well-developed writing skills and strong interpersonal communication are required.
• Ability to conduct EH&S audits and work independently.
• Familiarity with company policies, procedures and audit standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Must comply with ethical standards and IIA Global Internal Audit Standards in all audits.
• Conduct EH&S audits at Con Edison, Orange & Rockland, and Con Edison Transmission locations.
• Prepare clear audit reports and follow up on recommendations.
• Schedule and lead audit kick-offs, status updates, and closing meetings.
