Job summary

Con Edison in New York seeks an industrious auditor to join the Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) section. You will review electric, gas, steam, and other operations to assess environmental, health and safety processes and regulatory compliance.

This role offers exposure to senior management, a flexible work environment, and opportunities to rotate within auditing sections while upholding IIA ethics and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on environmental, health and safety experience preferred.
• Auditing or quality assurance experience preferred.
• Rotational assignments within other Auditing Sections may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental, health and safety audits across electric, gas, steam and other operations.
• Provide advisory services and assess compliance with company procedures and regulations.
• Maintain objectivity, independence and confidentiality per IIA standards.

Job description

Auditing seeks an industrious and dedicated individual who consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and high level of integrity to join the Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) section of Auditing. In line with Auditings mission, work to provide customer-focused, value added Environmental, Health and Safety audits and advisory services that are objectively conducted with a high level of professional and ethical standards. These audits will review electric, gas, steam, and other operations to assess environmental, health and safety processes and compliance with company procedures and regulations.

This position offers the successful candidate work experience in the CEI companies (CECONY, Orange & Rockland, CET) and exposure to senior management and executives. Auditing offers a flexible work environment and the potential to receive pay parity for qualified individuals (qualification for pay parity to be determined by Compensation).

The selected candidate must comply with all organizational and professional ethical standards and ensure that, if applicable, any audit performed complies with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Global Internal Audit Standards. Auditors must remain objective and independent while performing their work and will be required to sign Auditing Conflicts of Interest Disclosure & IIA Domain II: Ethics and Professionalism Acknowledgement Code of Ethics Attestation Form when joining Auditing and annually thereafter. The candidate will maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment both in character and actions.

Hands-on environmental, health and safety experience is preferred. Previous auditing or quality assurance experience is also preferred. Rotational assignments within other Auditing Sections may be required.
