Job summary

Prescient Edge is seeking an experienced Effects Planner to coordinate and integrate operational planning at the USSOCOM level. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop CONPLANs and OPORDs, and advise senior staff on interpretation and execution of plans.

A Master’s degree and active TS/SCI clearance are required. Position located at HQ USSOCOM, MacDill AFB, FL, with opportunities for on-site collaboration and interagency engagement.

Qualifications

• The Effects Planner role requires advanced planning and coordination across commands.
• Ability to define problems, supervise studies, and lead surveys to inform decisions.
• Experience translating complex problems into clear briefings and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional planning teams to develop cohesive operational plans.
• Facilitate working groups to deconflict resources, timing, and objectives.
• Conduct analysis to identify vulnerabilities and key nodes in target systems.
• Develop MOPs and MOEs to assess operational effectiveness.
• Lead target development to support campaign plans and priorities.
• Analyze ongoing operations and provide leadership briefs on effectiveness.
• Ensure plans align with national strategic guidance and directives.
• Advocate for subordinate command plans and resource needs during higher-level conferences.
• Draft and staff CONPLANs, OPORDs, and other planning documents.
• Serve as SME on published plans and advise staff on interpretation.
• Prepare and deliver senior leadership briefings on proposed or current plans.
