Job summary

Summa Health - Akron City Campus is seeking an EEG Technologist III for the EMU to operate and maintain advanced neurodiagnostic equipment, including video-EEG monitoring of seizures. The role requires reporting abnormalities promptly to physicians and performing tests under physician orders in both clinical and surgical settings.

The position offers full-time, night-shift work (36 hours) with a competitive benefits package and a $5,000 hire incentive.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited END program or an Associate’s Degree in Allied Health or Natural Sciences, or ABRET registry credentials (R.EEG T., CNIM, CLTM, R.EPT., etc).
• ABRET registry is preferred but not mandatory.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain multiple complex neurodiagnostic systems and monitor seizures in Phase I/II epilepsy patients.
• Record and report significant patient abnormalities to physicians.
• Perform basic to complex electrophysiological testing per physician orders in clinical and surgical settings.
