Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect (EDW Migrations) to lead migration strategy for large-scale EDW migrations to the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. You will partner with EMEA GTM leadership, product specialists, and account teams to design adoption plans and create technical assets for field teams.

In this role, you will mentor SAs and SSAs, deliver presentations and demos, and serve as the tier-3 technical escalation point for strategic migrations, ensuring customer success in

Qualifications

• 8+ years of customer-facing experience in pre-sales, architect, or consulting roles.
• Experience with legacy EDW systems and modernization for migration to modern platforms.
• Hands-on with Apache Spark, Python and SQL in data workloads.
• Public Cloud architecture across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with Professional Services and Global Systems Integrators.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional migration strategy with EMEA GTM leadership and account teams.
• Develop programmatic, scalable migration processes and technical guides.
• Build and integrate automated assessment tooling for migrations.
• Act as tier-3 technical escalation point for complex migrations.
• Mentor and scale the EMEA SAs and SSAs community.
• Bridge field insights with Product Management and Engineering.
• Contribute thought leadership through whitepapers and public talks.
• Handle the most complex technical challenges for the migration product line.
