Job summary

Cardinal Education in Burlingame, CA seeks Educational Consultants for in-person, after-school sessions with students and families. You’ll provide personalized 1-on-1 support in test prep, coursework, and executive functioning while preparing students for college admissions.

Morning hours include training across sales, recruitment, data analysis, curriculum development, marketing, and leadership. A vehicle and flexibility to work evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from a top university.
• 3+ years as Educational Consultant or Academic Coach with high school students.
• Strong command of high school core STEM subjects, including AP math/science.
• Prior tutoring or coaching experience in STEM for high schoolers.
• Own a registered vehicle and driver's license for travel between offices and to homes.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and 1 weekend day for 8 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 academic support and advising (test prep, coursework, executive function, passion projects)
• Partner with families as trusted education experts.

Job Overview:

This is an in-person role in Burlingame, California. Educational Consultants work directly with students and families in the afternoon and evening to provide personalized 1-on-1 academic support and advising for:

2. Ongoing School Coursework
3. Executive Function Management
4. Passion Projects
5. Confidence and Soft Skill-building

During the morning and midday, besides receiving training on teaching pedagogy, Educational Consultants learn about and contribute to the growth and operations of the business in some of the following fields based on aptitude:

1. Sales
2. Recruitment
3. Research & Data Analysis
4. Curriculum Development
5. Marketing
6. Management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject from an elite, nationally accredited university.
• At least 3 years of full-time experience as an Educational Consultant or Academic Coach, preferably coaching high school students
• Proficiency in high school-level core STEM subjects, including AP-level math and sciences.
• Prior experience tutoring/coaching in STEM subjects for high school-aged students.
• Having a registered vehicle and a license for transportation between offices and to students’ homes.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and 1 weekend day for 8 months of the year.

Compensation & Benefits:

• On-Target Earnings (OTE): $115,000-$140,000
  • Starting Base Salary: $100,000.00
  • Performance & Referral-Based Bonuses: $15,000-$40,000+
