Job summary

You will lead market research, guide evaluation committees, prepare procurement documents, and coordinate with departments to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Purchasing or related field; 8+ years may substitute.
• 5+ years in purchasing or procurement management.
• Experience in educational environment or governmental agency preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver License.
• Certification in CPPB/CSM/CTP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review department requests to assess proper use of purchasing processes.
• Prepare solicitations to promote open and fair competition.
• Lead evaluation committees as non-voting chair to ensure fair processes.
• Conduct market research and develop contract requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Negotiate contracts to obtain favorable terms and prices.
• Maintain a bid calendar and prepare contract modifications and change orders.
