Job summary

AoPS Academy is seeking an Associate Director for the Pasadena campus to oversee teaching of math and language arts, staff development, and campus operations. You will partner with the Campus Director on hiring, training, and customer service, while engaging with families to discuss student fit and program benefits.

The role combines teaching, leadership, and administrative duties in a year-round, full-time capacity with some after-school evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in language arts.
• Minimum 1-year teaching experience with advanced K-12 students.
• Strong organizational and priority management skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach the AoPS curriculum in dynamic, participation-oriented classes and manage the classroom.
• Participate in hiring and training of part-time staff.
• Assist with campus administrative, logistical, and customer service operations.
• Support enrollment and sales by meeting with prospective families and explaining program benefits.
• Counsel students and families as needed to provide support.
• Help design campus community activities to build culture and retention.
