Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney in Riverside, CA for the Southern California Education Law Practice Group. The role covers governance, labor, and employment issues for K-12 schools and community college districts, including investigations into discrimination.

You will advise on personnel management, respond to CA Public Records Act requests, and participate in Title IX matters and trainings.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of labor and/or employment law experience, preferably with public entities.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Litigation and/or administrative hearing experience is a plus.
• Investigations and Title IX experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Advise district/school administrators on personnel management, including employee discipline and dismissal.
• Guide clients in responding to California Public Records Act requests and complying with the Brown Act.
• Represent educational agencies in administrative hearings.
• Counsel management on employee leaves of absence and disability accommodations.
• Assist with Title IX and Uniform Complaint processes.
• Investigate and/or serve as a decision-maker in Title IX cases.
• Provide trainings and participate in conferences.
