Job summary

SpaceX in Wisconsin is seeking an EDM Programmer (Starlink) to support high‑volume production. You will create, setup and operate sinker EDM machines and related electrode processes in a fast‑paced shop.

The role requires 5+ years in sinker EDM programming, the ability to read blueprints and GD&T, and hands‑on experience with electrode design and copper/graphite tooling. You will collaborate with engineers to optimize machining parameters, develop fixtures, and perform routine maintenance to

Qualifications

5+ years sinker EDM programming experience.
Experience reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T.
Experience with electrode pulling/design and copper/graphite tooling.

Responsibilities

Create conversational programs, setup and operate sinker/wire EDM machines.
Program/operate graphite CNC machining.
Pull/Design electrodes.
Optimize electrode design with the engineering team.
Machine electrodes to required tolerances while meeting completion dates.
Develop, track, and optimize machining, sinker and wire parameters for different materials and finishes.
Develop and make required fixtures to support the EDM area.
Perform preventative maintenance of EDM machines as required.
Perform other machining functions while machines run to support shop operations.
Measure and inspect tight tolerance parts using gauges, indicators, and micrometers.
