Job summary

Ascension Press is seeking an editorial professional to support the quality and integrity of Alto and related content. The role involves proofreading, manuscript editing, and developmentally editing materials at various stages of production to ensure accuracy and alignment with house style and theological soundness.

The position also includes editorial administrative tasks, coordination with the product team, and occasional travel to Exton, PA to work with colleagues and review materials.

Qualifications

• Experience proofreading and developmental editing of manuscripts or content.
• Ability to assess accuracy, flow, and theological suitability against house style.

Responsibilities

• Proofread content at various stages of production.
• Ensure accuracy, house-style adherence, and alignment with Ascension’s mission.
• Perform developmental editing to improve flow, quality, and tone.
• Review materials for style, tone, brand consistency, and theological accuracy.
• Support editorial tasks: research, inquiries, imprimatur reviews, and marketing edits as needed.
• Travel to Exton, PA occasionally for coordination and reviews.
