Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience editing content for an institutional finance audience.
• Exceptional editing and writing skills, with strong grammar.
• Ability to distill complex topics into digestible content for professional audiences.
• Experience editing across formats including web, email, and social media.
• Solid understanding of financial markets, industries, companies, and investing concepts.
• Ability to research and interpret financial data, reports, and market trends.
• Comfortable working with writers, editors, marketers, designers, engineers, and subject matter experts.
• Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), Google Suite, Tableau, and Asana.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and content marketing best practices.
• Experience with data visualization and incorporating charts/graphs into content.

Responsibilities

• Edit content for clarity, tone, voice, grammar, and style, ensuring materials are polished and professional.
• Refine and rework existing content to improve readability, flow, and engagement.
• Proofread for errors in grammar, punctuation, and formatting, maintaining a high quality standard.
• Write copy, briefs, abstracts, headlines, summaries and other short-form material for content promotion.
• Partner with writers to develop thought leadership content, occasionally contributing as a ghostwriter.
• Coach writers to improve pieces and apply feedback to future work.
• Apply editorial judgment on what meets standards and what needs another pass.
• Ensure content aligns with AlphaSense’s brand voice and messaging guidelines.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales to convey product value through content.
• Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities and goals.
• Work with the design team to integrate visuals and data into content.
• Stay current on market trends to improve content relevance.
• Ensure all content is optimized for SEO.
