Job summary

The COO Club seeks a Senior Editor to lead editorial strategy and build a trusted, community-powered media brand for operations leaders and executives. You will shape voice, formats, and audience experiences across articles, newsletters, video, podcasts, and events.

As a senior editorial leader, you will grow loyal audiences through practitioner-led content, interviews, and collaborations with COOs and thought leaders, delivering high‑value insights and practical frameworks.

Qualifications

• Strong editorial judgment and audience instincts.
• Experience creating B2B, practitioner-led, or professional editorial content.
• Strong interviewing and synthesis skills.
• Ability to turn complex operational challenges into engaging editorial experiences.
• Experience growing newsletter engagement, subscriber audiences, or community participation.
• Experience across multimedia formats including newsletters, social, video, podcasts, webinars, or events.
• Comfort using analytics and audience signals to guide experimentation and optimization.
• Experience collaborating with contributors, SMEs, and strategic partners.
• Understanding of SEO, distribution strategy, audience engagement, and AI discovery trends.

Responsibilities

• Build engaged, community-powered editorial experiences.
• Create, assign, edit, write, and publish content across formats (newsletters, social, video, podcasts, livestreams, events, community).
• Develop content informed by practitioner insights (interviews, conversations, surveys, Q&A).
• Craft audience experiences around operational strategy, AI-enabled workflows, and executive leadership.
• Program and support webinars, livestreams, roundtables, podcasts, and editorial events.
• Repurpose editorial IP into newsletters, social, video clips, reports, and community assets.
• Ensure output reflects tone, usefulness, and audience relevance.
• Identify opportunities to increase audience participation and engagement.
• Produce decision-support formats like playbooks, reports, interviews, and surveys.
• Track performance using subscriber growth, engagement, and authority signals.
